Are you looking for a long-term position in a relaxing yet at times fast paced environment? This is the job for you! We are looking for both seasonal part-time and full-time employees in our Front Office & Maintenance Department. Our Camp Host are the voice and face of our business, providing our campers with their first interaction with our campground. They are responsible for answering phone calls, making reservations, checking campers in and out, as well as providing local information about fishing in the area, local attractions, and the rich history of the White and Buffalo rivers. We have many repeat customers because of the outstanding experience they receive from our staff. A “Can Do” personality with effective communication skills is a must!

FRONT OFFICE TEAM MEMBER SUMMARY:

Our Front Office Team Members will help lead our resort to its highest standards possible by working with the Management and ownership to efficiently conduct the Office operations, including ‘selling’ the RV resort sites and its amenities, processing reservations, assisting with guest needs, and otherwise supporting the overall resort operation. Reservation and Camp Store employees also stock shelves keep the office/store clean & organized and assist campers in finding what they need.

Through these efforts, Front Office Team Members will help our resort continue to be recognized as one of the brightest, cleanest, friendliest, and most profitable RV resorts in our region.

Reporting: Front Office Team Members will work with direct supervision of the General Manager and Office Manager, as applicable.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The “must haves” for this position include:

  • Possess the ability to present self professionally in guest interaction.
  • MUST BE Proficient with computer systems.
  • Must have excellent speaking and listening skills and exude an eagerness to provide excellent service.
  • Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the campground and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary.
  • Must be neat and well-groomed in accordance with Team Member standards.
  • It is our responsibility to provide a warm, friendly environment creating a great experience for our guests. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and interact with members at a high-level. Qualifications should include an understanding of campground operations, POS systems and be highly skilled with email and our
  • computerized reservation system.

We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required:

  • Previous Front Desk or Customer Service experience.
  • A knack for providing excellent customer service with every interaction.
  • Passion for hospitality and the great outdoors.
  • Ability to work independently and get it done.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Experience working with Property Management Systems (i.e., ResNexus ASTRA, RMS, Campspot, etc.) is a HUGE plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service – Must be able to lead and interact with customer/guests and team members in a positive, pleasant, helpful, and professional manner always. Outstanding customer service is the primary focus of our company.

Process Reservations – Efficiently and professionally process guest reservations to maintain a high occupancy rate. Provide helpful and effective answers to guest questions as able.

Reporting – Must be able to maintain certain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting tasks, including end of day reconciliations, and submit reports to appropriate individuals as warranted.

All Other Tasks as Assigned – given the nature of our industry, it’s not possible to list every duty that pertains to this position herein. All Team Members will be expected to complete other tasks as assigned by their supervisor

Must be hands-on with guest services, housekeeping, campground reservation system experience is preferred but not required. We are a small family resort, so we all wear multiple hats!

We all must recognize that anyone on the team will perform the tasks necessary to ensure the resort is clean and well maintained to create an awesome customer experience.

After hours on-call or phone system monitoring may be required as scheduled.

Communication – Professional demeanor in all manners of communication on telephone, text, park radios, or communication devices, e-mail, and notices provided to Guests and Staff.

Dialogue – Courteous and respectful dialogue with staff in team meetings or individual discussion. Respectful and constructive dialogue with Public and Guests, the resort in the highest regard always.

Profanity – Refrain from the use of profanity, racial or sexual inferences, or disparaging comments in the presence of Staff or Public.

Support – Dutiful implementation of all assignments given by Superiors, with no dissenting opinions voiced to Staff or Public.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend down, listen, type, verbally communicate, lift, and carry objects up to twenty pounds, reach above their heads, push equipment, and sit for extended periods of time.

FACILITIES/MAINTENANCE ATTENDANT SUMMARY:

The RV Park Facilities/Maintenance Attendant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety for the RV Park. Be able to perform duties at experienced apprentice level for maintenance around the park, in sites and buildings with the highest attention to detail.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to):

  • MAINTAIN A POSITIVE AND SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT.
  • Comply with all RV Park operating policies & procedures.
  • Greet guest at their designated site and assist with any questions.
  • Welcome all guests in a friendly manner and assist with any questions or concerns during their stay at the RV Park. Help to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience while adhering to the park policies.
  • Perform regular inspections of property; recommend maintenance of property and equipment as necessary to management.
  • Update maintenance logs for all repairs/replacements performed.
  • Assist in maintaining restroom cleanliness.
  • Receive and stock supplies for RV Park facilities.
  • Fill propane for guest (TRAINING AND LICENSING TO BE PROVIDED).
  • Perform other duties/tasks as required.
  • MAINTAIN A POSITIVE AND SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT.

Qualifications:

  • Possess high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Previous maintenance experience or equivalent educational, training and work experience preferred.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to work holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Have ability to professionally write reports and correspondence.
  • Be able to use hand and power tools effectively in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to work outside in inclement weather and on uneven surfaces.
  • Be able to text, send and receive messages in a proficient manner.
  • Lawn, Garden and Tractor Knowledge a Plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extensive physical activity required; regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or greater.
  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp, handle, feel and operate objects, tools, equipment, or controls, and required to lift and reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, crouch, and climb; talk to or hear customers and employees.

Pay:

  • In lieu of site rental fees, with potential for additional paid hours as agree upon
  • Hourly pay rates commensurate upon experience. We are looking for bright, highly motivated candidates with strong customer service skill-set.

Schedule:

  • Prefer 60-90 Day Commitment (Min.)
  • Start Day Desired APRIL 2022 (Sooner if Possible)
  • Up to 8-hour shifts; approximately 15 hours per week (combined duties)
  • Weekend Availability
  • Must be able to work weekends and summer holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day).
  • On-Call availability

Education:

  • High school or equivalent

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
