JCC Ranch Camp is the Denver JCCs Residential Camp serving campers entering 2nd through 11th grade. Individuals of all backgrounds, faiths, and families are welcome.
At Ranch Camp, we aim to create an environment for campers that fosters social, spiritual, and emotional growth. Our inclusive and unique community is a place for people to thrive, be creative, and teach about something they truly care about; sharing that passion with future generations.
Ranch Camps Operations Techs have one of the most important and integral jobs at summer camp: keeping the camp running smoothly and enabling the great experience of the campers and staff from behind the scenes. Operations techs keep their wits about them all summer-watching for what needs to be done to ensure and beautiful and safe facility for all.
All our staff work in tandem with Camps Supervisory Team to ensure the positive resolution of any and all camper, counselor, and parent issues that may arise.
Finally, all staff must be able to attend Staff Orientations from 5/22/2023 – 6/5/2023 and be available to live at camp for the summer season from 6/6/2023 – 8/13/2023. While we prefer staff to work for the entire summer, we understand if you cant and encourage you to apply if you can work at least 5 6 weeks of our summer season.

Roles and Responsibilities
Sweep, mop, disinfect cabins (between sessions) and communal spaces
Check in on staff spaces and renew paper product supply daily
Assist kitchen staff and FOH manager with FOH readiness projects and deep cleaning tasks
Daily bathroom checks-ensure stocked products in bathrooms/kitchen/ handwashing stations
3 times weekly deep clean bathhouses and bathrooms
Notify the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation for campers, guests, staff and livestock
Inventory and report stock shortages to Operations manager
Pick up any observed debris or trash around camp facilities

Physical Demands and Working Environment
Physical Demands: This job requires the incumbent to have operative auditory and visual functioning. Employee must also be able to walk upwards of two (2) miles each day, including use of stairs and uneven terrain. Employee may also stand, sit in chairs or on the ground, run, and swim. Employee may lift or body block campers when necessary.
Work Environment: Working conditions may include being in indoor, often times loud spaces and spending extended time outdoors under the sun. Must have the ability to work in a hectic, sometimes stressful environment while maintaining the standard of care.

Qualifications and Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Housekeeping/cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to lift (50lbs), carry, sweep, mop, wipe and walk around camp on uneven surfaces.
Attention to detail to determine what is needed and where
Self-motivated and high energy
Able to follow a schedule and stay on task even in distracting situations
Community based/Service based attitude-We want these kids to have a great time!
Flexible with the ability to shift in role as needed
Satisfactorily fulfill requirements for employment at the Staenberg-Loup JCC, including: background screening, three references, documentation, and compliance with CDHS law.
Must be high-energy, enthusiastic, creative, community oriented and open-minded!
