Camp Host

Johnson County is seeking a Camp Host for the Mikesell-Potts Recreation Area from May 15 through September 15.

Mikesell-Potts Recreation Area is located at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains on the shores of Lake DeSmet, 8 miles north of Buffalo and 28 miles south of Sheridan, WY. The campground offers over 90 first-come, first-served campsites, along with a limited number of preferred sites.

Responsibilities:

• Greet campers and assist with check-ins and check-outs
• Answer guest questions and share local area information
• Monitor campsites and common areas
• Confirm campsite payments
• Clean restrooms
• Enforce campground rules in a friendly, professional manner

Requirements:

• Positive, dependable individual with strong people skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to live on-site in your own RV or camper
• Ability to perform light physical tasks
• Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license required
• Previous hosting or customer service experience a plus

We Offer:

• Complimentary campsite with partial hookups (sewer and electricity; non-potable water)
• $15 per day for days the host is present and performing duties (paid monthly)
• Flexible schedule

Pets are allowed; however, per Recreation Area rules, they must be kept on a leash.
