Job Description

Exempt:                             No – Part-time hourly position

Department:                      Parks and Recreation Department

Reports To                         Park Supervisor – Craighead Forest Park

Location:                           Craighead Forest Park

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This part-time position resides in their own RV at the campground and assist other paying campers with checking-in and out of campsites. The host will assist other campers as needed in regards to campsite amenities and contact campground park supervisor as needed. this position will usually be available during designated days for about 15 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Minor children are not permitted to reside with Camp Hosts onsite.
  • Camp Hosts must have their own RV.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Acts as host for one week (7 days) at a time at the Craighead Forest Park Campground.

2. Collects payments for daily, weekly and/or monthly rentals at Campground.  Turns in deposits to Park Supervisor three times a week following City Approved procedures.

3. Answers phone and responds to questions and concerns from guests.

4. Notifies Park Supervisor for maintenance concerns.

5. Holds sites for campers that pay in advance by phone.

6. Asks campers to follow campground rules.  Notifies Park Supervisor or Jonesboro Police Department if guests will not follow rules and instruction.

7. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent knowledge.

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
