Welcome to Lake Wapusun RV Resort (www.lakewapusun.com)! Lake Wapusun RV Resort is under new ownership and is currently undergoing major improvements and updates to the resort. This is an amazing opportunity to come on-board with a boutique company and in an exciting industry! We are seeking a dynamic Resort General Manager to take the resort to the next level through proper oversite, building and managing positive relationships!

 

Qualifications:

·         Experience in the hospitality, multifamily or retail management industry

·         Understands Project Management principles and practices

·         Outgoing and friendly personality

·         Fast learner

·         Strong customer service skills including ability to respond to phone calls, hear issues and give direction

·         Ability to learn new campground software and/or computer systems

·         Understand how to communicate effectively with staff, customers & vendors

·         Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly

·         Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 15 pounds without assistance

·         Long periods of standing (80%)

·         Ability to move or traverse, position oneself to perform tasks, transport or move items, identify and observe potential hazards and operate machinery

·         Current certifications in First Aid/CPR and AED or willingness to obtain upon hire

·         Requires use of hands/fingers to handle or feel

·         Ability to travel by car

·         Current certifications in First Aid/CPR and AED or willingness to obtain upon hire

·         Background check required

 

Full Description:

Our chosen candidate will have the natural ability to create a healthy atmosphere within the RV Park with many people who have diverse backgrounds. The right candidate will have an outgoing personality, be a team player & and have experience in the hospitality, industry, as well as understand how to communicate effectively with staff, customers & vendors. The resort manager will be responsible for ensuring the property is in functional and attractive condition, scheduling staff, reservations, events, reporting to the owner and more. Qualified applicants must have experience in Microsoft Office, basic bookkeeping & generally computer literacy. Position is based in Shreve, Ohio and available for immediate hire. Must agree to allow background checks. Some travel may be required at times for vendor meetings, bank deposits, restocking, etc. The job will consist of 50 to 60 hours a week, it is a full-time job with possible option to have an RV-Space and/or housing. Full-time Salary $40,000/year, negotiable based on experience and/or bonus structure.

 

Responsibilities:

The Resort General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the resort, including overseeing property maintenance, store and office teams, membership dues collections, producing reports and notices, and providing excellent service to our guests. This person will serve as the initial point of contact for all guests before, during and after their arrival at the resort. The Resort General Manager is to create outstanding customer service, provide well-run camping experiences and maintain the resort in top-notch condition.

·         Responsible for overseeing guest bookings, registrations, payment collections in compliance with cash handling, credit card processing and accounting policies and procedures.

·         Oversee maintenance team for all necessary park management and maintenance while ensuring that all physical aspects of the property are, at all times, fully functional, clean, and maintained in an attractive condition

·         Ensure that unsafe conditions are reported and corrected in a timely manner and perform regular inspections of the property, repair and report maintenance of the property and equipment as necessary

·         Maintain an awareness of health and safety developments to ensure that the company continues to comply with the best practice and legal requirements, including any necessary licensing

·         Responsible for supervision, hiring and covering shifts of Team Members while ensuring that all Team Members are on-time and are at work when scheduled, adhere to the policies and procedures, as well as provide and maintain a positive and safe work environment

·         Coordinate and assist in development of new and ongoing events and activities to promote the resort and pride of ownership, such as concerts, activities for children, holiday decor and golf cart competitions. Brainstorm and implement / organize family friendly resort events to create the “Lake Wapusun” experience

·         Communicating effectively with ownership, other management, staff and guests

·         Ensuring any issues or areas of concern are addressed promptly and thoroughly

·         Representing the property in a professional and courteous manner at all times

·         Reporting any incidences to upper management

·         Oversee the ordering and controls on all resale merchandise

·         Identify problem areas and provide problem solving advice to address issues

·         Oversee the development and implementation of a planned maintenance program to ensure that assets and services are maintained to required standards and can operate without interruption

·         Other duties as assigned
