Job Description
Want to be in beautiful Ocala Florida for the fall? We are currently looking for resident volunteers to work as campground host at the most beautiful campground in the state. We are looking for one position between December 1st and January 31st.
Volunteers will work 3 days on 3 days off from 9 am until approximately 2 pm, minimum of 20 hours per week. Campground hosts clean up to 25 sites a day (raking or blowing off leaves/pine needles from pea gravel, weed, clean out grills/fire pit of ash, check site for maintenance, etc.) as well as clean the bathhouse (2 family rooms plus Men’s & Women’s sides including 4 shower stalls, 5 toilet stalls, sinks, etc.), and a cabin grills/firepits.
You’ll receive full hook up (FHU) site, Wi-Fi (at Ranger Station), use of Volunteer Rec Hall (includes full kitchen, bathroom, dining room, lounge area and laundry), all while living within a short bike ride to kayak/canoeing along the Silver River, Greenways and Trails, 12 miles of trails in the park, hundreds of miles of trails in nearby Ocala National Forest, 30 minute drive to numerous springs parks with swimming, or a few hours to either Florida coast for beaches.
