Work Camper

The Retreat at Hickory Hills, Quincy Indiana, is looking for Work-campers for the summer starting ASAP. Couples are encouraged, solo’s will be considered. We are looking for: inside help in our camp store and cafe; which involves being able to work while sitting, standing and stooping, checking out guest at the cash register and general cleaning and stocking as needed.  Social activities leading weekend programs; bingo, arts and crafts, etc. Outside help with grounds (mowing w ZTR, etc), site escorts, firewood and propane delivery, which require the ability to lift propane tanks, and firewood. Our main work week for the store is Friday to Sunday with Monday holiday hours. Grounds is generally Wednesday to Sunday. There would be other tasks assigned as needed for both positions. In return for 20 Hours per week, per person, we offer a full hook up site, and $150 per month to apply to site electric. Up to 2 pets per site allowed. We are located about a half hour from Indianapolis, as well as Bloomington (home of Indiana University) There are local attractions and restaurants withing 25 minutes or less. We are near Brown County, known for its vibrant fall colors. We are a membership campground which lets us promote a family friendly atmosphere with guests that have a like minded interest in community and a peaceful setting. Our retreat is majority seasonal, approx. 250 sites, with 80 short term/weekend sites.
