JOB DESCRIPTION:
Looking for dedicated volunteers to assist in daily operations of day use park nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains of Southern Vermont. Depending on the availability of volunteers recruited, schedule would be rotating. Main duties of the volunteers will be to open and close day use park entrance gates in coordination with park hours and Park Ranger availability. Schedule will be coordinated with volunteer and Project Manager upon selection. Volunteers may also be required to convey park rules and regulations, provide directions to picnic shelters, trails, etc., perform light maintenance, trail work, track visitation, as well as maintain clear and constant communication with Park Rangers when reporting violations or critical needs. Volunteers willing to sign on for at least 1 month will receive a full hook-up site, of water, sewer and 50amp service, they must provide their own camper. Once 100 hours is worked volunteers will receive a free USACE Annual Day Pass, after 250 hours volunteers will receive a free inter-agency “America the Beautiful” Volunteer Pass.
