DESCRIPTION:
The volunteer will be a docent in the Amache Preservation Society museum located in Granada, Colorado for 30 hours per week. He/she may also assist with site tours.

Amache, also known as the Granada Relocation Center, near Granada, Colorado was one of ten incarceration sites established by the War Relocation Authority during World War II to unjustly incarcerate Japanese Americans. Over 10,000 people, most American citizens, were incarcerated at Amache from 1942-1945. Amache – a place to reflect, recommit, and further the pursuit of freedom and justice. DUTIES
For Amache National Historic Site: Looking for volunteer(s) who will provide visitor orientations in the Amache Preservation Society museum located in Granada, Colorado for 30 hours per week. Volunteer(s) will also possibly assist with site tours.
QUALIFICATIONS
No prior skills are needed. Training will be provided. The following skills are a plus: public speaking, tour guide, providing visitor orientations. Looking for those with outgoing personalities.
