DESCRIPTION:

Fulfill the role of a Natural Resource Program Coordinator by developing educational literature, designing community-based workshops, and providing hands-on support in the field for a variety of natural resource projects. Cochiti Lake is looking for someone who can work 29 hours per week, with flexible days as needed. An RV campsite (w/ water & electricity hookup and showers) is available for someone who can meet the hourly requirements. Adults and seniors welcome.

 

Volunteer opportunities are available for three – twelve months. Difficulty level would be easy – moderate with extensive hours working outside. Individual project opportunities are available to assist with pollinator gardens (A 50X50 foot area designated as a pollinator garden in the middle of our Buffalo Grove Campground. The garden is designed to provide habitat for native pollinating insects and birds and provides educational opportunities for the community) as well as Canoemobile (an outdoor and environmental education-based event that takes place in May. The event is designed for 4th-8th grade students and takes place over the course of 3-4 days).
