Day-Use Host

**EXTENDED ASSIGNMENT OPPORTUNITY**

Site Information: Paved pad, 50-amp power, water and sewer provided. Picnic table and fire pit at site.

Length of Assignment: 1-6 months depending on availability and season. New hosts may only be offered a 1-month trial assignment.

Daily Expectation of Hours: 3-5 daily depending on workload

Amenities: On-site laundry, cell booster, use of a golf cart/utility vehicle.

As the only host on-site you will be resposible for the following:

General Responsibilities:

·         Respond to visitor, staff, and volunteer requests in an attentive and respectful manner.

·         Provide all grounds and restroom janitorial services, including restocking supplies, and cleaning at least once daily (Rangers come up and clean on your scheduled days off).

·         Operate and maintain small powered equipment.

·         Keep grounds free of debris and litter.

·         Respond to visitor, staff, and volunteer requests in an attentive and respectful manner.

·         Alert staff to safety issues, facility issues, and major cleaning needs.

·         Provide general site maintenance, including mowing, light landscaping, sweeping, and debris removal.

·         Operate utility vehicles (golf carts, gators, etc.).

·         Read and record pump meter and car counter numbers daily.

Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

·         Ability walk long distances, stand for long periods of time, perform repeated motions such as shoveling or raking.

·         Ability to bend, crouch, twist, push and pull.

·         Ability to travel on uneven terrain, as well as be stationary for long periods of time.

·         Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
