DESCRIPTION:
The Savage River Area is a hotspot for human-wildlife interactions in Denali National Park and Preserve. We’re looking for a few volunteers who can work independently and interact with visitors in a busy place, deliver often times complex information and perform a variety of duties from informal interpretation to traffic/parking control.
These volunteers will work at the Savage River Area to help educate visitors in appropriate behavior in wilderness and when encountering wildlife, namely bears, as well as dispense general park and area information.
Housing (RV site with full hook-ups) and some funds for reimbursement of expenses are available.
