WHAT WE NEED:
· 3 – six-month contracts
o 4/1/24 – 9/30/24 (2 contracts: A, B)
o 10/1/24 – 3/31/25 (1 contract: C)
Work Specifications for Gate Attendants for the Comal County Water Oriented Recreation District within Canyon Park
Contractor shall provide adequate staffing every day to ensure the following tasks are completed:
· User fee collection and gatehouse staffing
· Keeping logs and completing daily transaction reports
· Daily Park inspections and visitor assistance
· Assisting WORD staff with cleaning/trash pickup as needed
· Performing minor maintenance repairs
· Creating a positive and encouraging work environment and experience for Park visitors
· Other duties as required by WORD within scope of Park Operations
Staffing and Pay Schedule:
· If requested by WORD, weekends and holidays may require a minimum of two personnel to be in the gatehouse/park and working the majority of the time.
· Contract covers the same park operating season (3/1/24 – 10/31/24). From April 1 – September 30, the gatehouse is typically open 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week. During the months of March and October, the gatehouse is typically open 8 hours per day (7 days/week in March, weekends only in October). The contract is responsible for covering the gatehouse (Canyon Park Main) the entire time the gatehouse is open.
· Each contract, not each individual, shall be reimbursed by WORD at a rate of $15 per hour the gatehouse is open. (For example, if Contract A covers 35 hours in the gatehouse on a given week, that contract payout shall be $525.00)
· For purposes of orientation and training, the move-in dates may be extended to up to two weeks prior to the start date. Contractor will be reimbursed at the above contract rate for all hours spent training/orienting within the gatehouse prior to the contract start.
