JOB DESCRIPTION:
Join the Chattooga River Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest as a campground host at the beautiful Lake Russell Campground. The campground has access to a beach area, boat ramp, and the adjacent Lake Russell Wildlife management area, perfect for those interested in hunting, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, swimming, or hiking. Shopping and grocery is located nearby in Cornelia and Clarkesville, GA.
Hosts are requested to be available for public interaction most of the day especially on weekends and holidays and expected to make full campground rounds early in the morning and evening This host is provided a parking space, water, septic, and electric hookups at Loop B of the campground. As the site is surrounded by campsites, we’re looking for an outgoing and friendly host to share information to curious campers during the busy season. Since the campground is open year-round, candidates with an interest in a longer term stay will be preferred.
The position requires a background check and a personal RV or camper for lodging. Duties include daily bathroom cleaning and campsite monitoring as well as regular communication with campers and Forest Service staff.
