JOB DESCRIPTION:

Interpretive volunteers talk with visitors in the observation platform answering questions and explaining the operation and significance of the Soo Locks and Great Lakes shipping. Volunteers are needed between late-June and early September and should be prepared to commit to at least two months. Hours are extremely flexible and exhaustive knowledge of the locks and boats is NOT required, but it helps if you have an interest and enjoy talking to people. A campsite with water and electrical hook-up, onsite laundry and free WiFI is available in exchange for at least 15 hours of service per week.
