JOB DESCRIPTION:
Prescott National Forest is looking for energetic, hardworking, fun-loving individuals and couples to serve as volunteer hosts at family and group camprounds, and day use sites with gate duties off site. Opportunities are located on the Bradshaw Ranger District near the city of Prescott, Arizona. Previous host experience is helpful but not required.
Seeking people who love being good stewards of the land, have excellent customer service skills, friendly and patient personalities, ability to perform daily campsite and restroom cleaning, light maintenance, and tracking reservations where applicable. Volunteer hosts must own their own accommodation (RV/Camper/Motorhome) to live on site; tents are not permitted. Utilities (electric, sewer, potable water) available at some campgrounds and day use sites. Some locations have 2 hosts requiring each to work together and share duties including covering during each other’s days off. When applying to these positions please provide at least 3 professional references (e.g., supervisors, coworkers, business contacts, others who know your work ethics and skills).
NOTES:
- Applicants with partners/spouses wanting to host together should apply SEPARATLY and provide at least 3 professional references each! This will help better feature each person’s unique skills and abilities.
- Host at day use sites must be able to use personal vehicle to manage gates on and off site and have a good driving record. A mileage reimbursement is provided.
- Pets permitted with proper vaccination documents, and rules apply.
