Job Description
Big Creek Missions is seeking positive, kind workampers to serve at our Christian mission center in Southeast Kentucky. Located in a beautiful, yet struggling, area of Eastern Kentucky, our mission serves local residents by providing home repairs, food outreaches, and children’s programs. We do this by partnering with volunteer teams who travel to our mission center.
Our workampers assist us in a variety of areas:
1) kitchen: prep/cleaning: we prepare quality meals for volunteer teams & staff
2) office help: answering phones, coordinating schedules
3) construction management and maintenance: helping manage teams serving on site, and maintaining equipment, housing facility. And grounds
4) Chidlren’s ministry coordination: Help us coordinate services with local schools and plan our children’s program for the summer! Each day during the summer, we offer a massive children’s program at our local pool with 200 children in attendance. You can help us coordinate activities & curriciulum The opportunities to serve and help others are endless!!
Although the schedule is very “random” at times, due to the nature of volunteer team schedules, ample “comp time” is given
Preferred Dates: February 25 (est) – November 21 (estimated) or any period in that range.
Benefits: Full hookup, free meals while groups are on site, and the joy of knowing you’ve helped make a difference in our area! Pay: We will discuss pay with each applicant, as each situation is different! (Volunteers are appreciated!)
