About us: Arrowhead Lake is a hidden jewel of Southern Illinois! Our 65 site campground offers a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere including beautiful views of Arrowhead Lake, a 2.2 mile trail that surrounds the lake, and a new campground store that offers last minute necessities, snacks, rentable games, and more! We pride ourselves in keeping a clean and safe environment for our campers as well as our citizens to enjoy.
Job Description: As camp hosts for Arrowhead Lake Campground you will play a pivotal role in ensuring guests have a great stay. Your responsibilities will include:
*Welcoming guests upon arrival and assisting with check in procedures as needed, including the online reservation system and answering phones.
*Collect fees
*Providing information about campground amenities, local attractions, and recreational activities.
*Ensuring camp sites and grounds are well maintained and clean for incoming guests.
*Maintenance and cleaning of the bathrooms, cabin, shower and laundry house, playground equipment, and picnic pavilion areas.
*Assisting with minor maintenance tasks and addressing any guest concerns or issues.
*Maintain the campground store when needed
*Promoting a positive and friendly atmosphere among guests and staff
*Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary
Qualifications:
*Excellent customer service skills
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Basic computer skills
*Basic campground operation knowledge
*Willingness to be on site most of the time including able to work weekends and holidays as needed
*Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
*Must be able to physically and frequently grasp, grip, pull, push, twist and lift an average of 50lbs
*Must provide own camper and equipment, but will be given a free campsite and hookup for the duration of the season
