DESCRIPTION
Hosts should assist campers and picnickers. They also should be able to relate to the camping and outdoor recreation experiences of visitors to the National Forest and the campground. The Hosts/Co-host should have a self-contained recreation vehicle; the body should be intact, in good repair and appearance; it should be mechanically sound and roadworthy.
Main responsibilities include assisting visitors, grounds maintenance, observing behavior of visitors, and general cleanliness of Campground and trail head. Host receives $100 per month reimbursement.
DUTIES
Assist visitors in understanding campground/day use area regulations in a friendly and courteous manner.
Observing visitor behavior and reporting disruptive or inappropriate behavior to the Forest Service.
Observing the condition and cleanliness of campground facilities and reporting items needing attention to the Forest Service.
Restocking toilet paper in restrooms and incidental cleaning of restrooms as necessary.
Performing General cleanup of campsites, fire rings, & grills after visitors leave.
Post campsite reservations as provided by Recreation.gov.
Being present in the campground that will primarily include coverage on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
Comfortable with the operation of zero turn mower.
Training will be provided.
Comfortable communicating with visitors.
Rv or Camper.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Cedar point campground, located on the Croatan National Forest, is a flat and level campground. The roads within the campground are paved. There is a washer and dryer on site for host/cohost use.
