JOB DESCRIPTION:
USACE project, Philpott Lake, in southern Virginia needs volunteer park hosts for Horseshoe Point campground located in Henry, VA.
Season: May 2026 through September 2026
Schedule: Workdays are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – 3 days on, 4 days off. Required to be in the gatehouse from 12pm Noon – 4pm.
Duties: Volunteers will be required to occupy the gatehouse for approximately 4 hours per day, post daily reports in the morning, check campers in/out, explain reservation procedures, inform visitors of rules and regulations, relay issues to Park Rangers, and be available to assist visitors/campers at all hours while on duty.
