JOB DESCRIPTION:

·      NO restroom cleaning.

·      Desire to work 7 hours/day, 3 days on 3 days off, averaging 28 hours per week. We provide a full hook up RV site so you can live in a natural outdoor setting, with your own RV.

·       If willing to commit to a full season (Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend), volunteer will be eligible for round-trip long-distance reimbursement if its 100 miles or more between current residence and duty station upon completion of your service, to be paid in full after you have returned home i.e., $0.76/mile in 2026 (rate to be announced for 2027).

·       If you are committed to half a season of 9 weeks to include May 2nd – July 6th week or July 6th – Sept. 6th, volunteer will be eligible for a long-distance mileage reimbursement if its 100 miles or more however, not to exceed $500, to be paid in full after you have returned home, i.e. (0.76/mile in 2026, rate to be announced for 2027),

·       We will work with folks who have a shorter time frame in mind; they just won’t qualify for the long-distance reimbursement.

·  Desire to meet and interact with people from varied backgrounds.

·  Physical ability to walk a mile+ across the dam in the heat.

·  Beginning of season assist with school group tours.

· Give tours, including sunset tours.

·  Meet and greet the visitors.

·  Answer questions.

·  Guide and or assist with sunset tours on Friday nights.

·  In charge of movie nights at Hood Park.

·  Learning about dam, water safety games, Scavenger Hunt and Junior Ranger Book/badge, and furs.

·  Assist the rangers on various projects i.e. assisting a water safety program, coping, organizing,

etc. within each volunteer’s strengths.

·  General cleaning i.e. wiping down items and running sweeper only in office.
