Iron Gate Campground is nestled in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Pecos, NM. Camp hosts will enjoy the sounds of nature, hummingbirds buzzing around, and cool mornings and evenings. People love camping here because of the great campsites and the nearby opportunities for recreation!
Spend your time in beautiful Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) in the mountains! The Santa Fe National Forest covers 1.6 million acres in the heart of north central New Mexico. Visitors can enjoy camping, fishing, hiking and many other outdoor recreation activities. Residents can maintain their traditional and cultural uses of the national forest and forest products. The highest point in the SFNF is the summit of Truchas Peak located in the Pecos Wilderness 13,103 feet. At the lowest altitude, the SFNF is 6,000 feet.

Campground hosting requires a lot of time outdoors. Hosts will need to be prepared for a wide range of temperatures (30s to 80s) as we progress through the summer months and into the fall. The host should have an RV in good working order.
