LOCATION: The Cove Palisades State Park
DATES: Needed From June 28 – September 6, 2021
DESCRIPTION: Subject to chang based on COVID-19 restrictions put in place by the Governor and/or OPRD Director; Do you have a passion for wildlife, geology, astronomy or Oregon history? Like meeting new and interesting people? Have you ever wanted your own outdoor classroom, located in a beautiful, warm, Central Oregon lakeside setting? The Cove Palisades State Park is looking for Interpretive Hosts to work in the Deschutes Campground this summer.; Camp Coyote Amphitheater is nestled among juniper trees in the Deschutes Campground – this is a fun, fast paced area with lots of visitor interaction. This position works with our Lead Interpretive Ranger late June – Labor Day this year. Programs may include working with Junior Rangers, evening programs, hikes, roving interpretation, visitor services, community events and more!; Limited basic landscape and/or general maintenance assignements may be added to duties depending on park need, Host ability and COVID-19 restrictions.; Each host site provides water, power, and sewer service to make you feel right at home. Limited cell/internet in the campground. Internet is available in the Interpretive Office and laundry facilities are available on site.
