Job Description
LOCATION: Illinois River Forks State Park
DATES: Needed From June 1, 2021 – August 31, 2021
DESCRIPTION: Illinois River Forks- Day Use Host; Host Team with 3+ months of experience preferred. Exceptions can be made for the right candidate(s).; This little known rural day-use park is a little off the beaten track. Situated just off Hwy 199 between the amazing Redwood Coast and the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon and located on the sparkling Illinois River, this park is where the east and west forks meet just outside of the small town of Cave Junction. During the summer months, it’s a great place for visitors to cool off from the summer’s heat or for hikers and equestrians to access scenic trails through the adjacent woods. There is also a popular disc golf course on the property.; Staff presence can be limited due to this parks distance from our main office. However, it is a great location for independent self-starters who like space to themselves. There is also a local volunteer group who is involved with the park.; Although this is a day-use area, we have a full hook-up host site for you. On site laundry is also available. We need help with opening and closing park gates, stocking and cleaning one restroom, picking up litter, doing light landscape maintenance and serving as a security presence to keep an eye on park facilities.
