DESCRIPTION:
Alfred A Loeb State park is a beautiful secluded campground off the beaten path and on the Chetco river. A hot spot for fishermen and a beautiful quiet park for wildlife watching. Loeb is looking to fill a cabin/Maintenance host assignment for February 2021. As of now, Alfred A Loeb State Park campground is closed for camping but the Day Use and river bar are open. The duties for this assignment are shared with another host and include the following:
- Opening and closing the day use restrooms at posted times.
- Cleaning and sanitizing the day use restrooms.
- Litter picking parking lots and the river bar
- Collecting trash from trash cans in the day use area.
- Landscape maintenance using various hand and power tools including; mowing, string trimming, cutting small limbs, cutting blackberries and other vines, keeping trails clear of debris.
- Small project work as directed by park staff.
Ideal candidates for this assignment would be independent self starters as ranger presence isn’t guaranteed every day. Hosts are expected to be a positive and professional face of OPRD. This assignment includes a full hookup site with 50AMP service, access to showers at Loeb and laundry facilities available at Harris Beach.
