DATES: Willamette Mission State Park; Needed From January 5, 2021 – February 28, 2021
DESCRIPTION: Come join us at beautiful Willamette Mission State Park as our Shop Host! Willamette Mission State Park is a wonderful place to host. A network of hiking, equestrian, and cycling trails, covered picnic areas, and river access provide recreation options to suit a variety of tastes. The site is steeped in Oregon history and conveniently located just north of the Salem/Keizer metropolitan area. This park also provides some great opportunities for volunteers to gain experience and serve the public.; Some of the Shop Host duties include:; Conduct scheduled equipment servicing and as-needed repairs (coordinated with Rangers).; Mowing, trimming, blowing, and other landscaping duties performed around park shop, office, and park entrance.; Help maintain Vision Educational Trail.; Recycle paper/cardboard from office areas; Helping cover park gate opening/closing when staff is unavailable; Light facility cleaning, maintenance and repairs; The site is 50 AMP hookup and has an on-site laundry room in the main park office.; Email Park Ranger Noah Sangster to find out more about this volunteer opportunity.
