Job Description
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a Maintenance Foreman to join our team at Kings Canyon National Park in California. As a Maintenance Foreman, you will perform manual labor related to the maintenance, care and improvement of the property. You will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep through regular preventative maintenance programs.
Some locations may implement a vaccination requirement in the future if required by federal, state, or local law.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Make minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
- Use hand tools and power tools on maintenance repairs including chain saws.
- Operate motorized vehicles including tractors, vans, pickups and other vehicles as it relates to work.
- Operate safety devices on aerial lifts.
- Assist with shipping and receiving.
- Provide assistance to officials, associates and other employees as necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Understand how to properly use tools, machines, and equipment for maintenance.
- Ability to follow safety practices and care-of-equipment procedures.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily maintenance functions.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift at least 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in cramped areas.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors and, at times, in extreme weather conditions.
