PAY RANGE: $1,020 – $1,285 (DOQ) – Every 2 weeks

JOB SUMMARY |
The primary objective of the Campground Host is to provide a quality recreational experience for guests at Willow Park. The Campground Host will implement nearly all operation tasks required within the park related to camping, reservations, guest relations, and general site cleanliness.
The Campground Host will work closely with Lehi City Parks staff in maintaining the site to the highest standard possible. This position requires the following skills and abilities: Customer service skills; manual labor abilities; communication skills; successful conflict management and resolution, basic fee collection, and writing skills.
The Campground Host must enjoy working in an environment of extensive public contact, have the ability to work with minimal supervision, and be able to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately. Additionally, the Campground Host must be able to perform basic record keeping, manual labor tasks, and be willing to clean and sanitize facilities with a variety of cleaning agents and chemicals. The Campground Host must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Greet and assist guests in a pleasant and welcoming manor. Check guests in and/or complete any on-site reservation transactions. Ensure guests locate the correct reservation site. Answer questions and clearly explain rules and regulations which apply to them.
- Clean campsites by performing minor maintenance tasks such as raking the campsite pad and surrounding area, washing tables, cleaning out fire rings, picking up litter, reporting any damage to your supervisor, and any other necessary maintenance to help the guests have a positive experience. Each site must be cleaned promptly after every camper checks out and before another checks in.
- Clean and restock restrooms routinely during normal use and frequently during heavy use times, to maintain them restroom facilities as a desirable amenity.
- Maintain a litter-free facility. Maintain debris-free trails, roads, and pathways.
- Ensure pavilions are prepped and ready for guest usage and promptly cleaned after their departure by picking up trash in and around the area and pressure washing the tables.
- Campground Host shall not attempt to discipline or apprehend any park violators. Steward will report all disturbances to the Lehi City Police Department and, secondarily, to the Parks Department.
- Host must be familiar with local points of interest, nearby facilities, and local rules and regulations.
- Campground Host is expected to be on duty during nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak visitation periods and provide campground coverage at any hour day or night.
- Campground Host shall not sell items on site for personal gain.
- Campground Host will report conflicts and complaints, situations that could affect the health and safety of guests, and suggestions for improving the site to Lehi City Parks staff.
- Campground Host will assist with watering the park under the direction of the Lehi City Parks staff.
- Campground Host will assist with the maintenance of the landscape of the park and basic maintenance of the facilities (i.e., painting, staining, sanding, etc.) under the direction of the Lehi City Parks staff.
- Campground Host will monitor the use of the boat launch and ensure guests are following all rules and regulations.
- Campground Host will monitor fishing activities on site, ensuring all guests are following approved guidelines and rules of the park.
- Campground Host will be asked to attend safety trainings and various other trainings as designated by the City. The Campground Host may, on occasion, be required to attend meetings, trainings, that are located off site. For these circumstances, the Campground Host would be responsible for transportation to and from such activities unless the training us out of Utah County.
- Campground Host may be asked to follow a prescribed dress code or grooming code. Campground Host may also be required to wear assigned and specific clothes, hats, caps, vests, coats, etc., for this position.
- Campground Host may also be required to log and track work hours, and type of work on computer programs such as iWorq, the city’s data tracking software.
- All Pets must be approved by Lehi City. If the animal shows any aggression at any time it will need to be removed from the Campground/Park.
