Job Description
Visitor’s Center Host Volunteers and Education Host Volunteers needed for September 2025 – May 2026. Hosts must be ready to report for duty by October 1st, 2025. Each person must volunteer 20 hours/week (40 hours total for couples) in exchange for an RV site with FHU. Laundry and showers on-site, available for use 24/7, at no cost. No WiFi or cable provided, but can be brought in on your own. Duties include watering retail nursery, taking admissions, gift shop cashier, leading educational tours, working with school groups, event assistance, and other various tasks. Previous experience desired but not required. Hosts are expected to work four to five days each week with two guaranteed days off. Host volunteers also receive 10 vacation days to use at their discretion. Boyce Thompson Arboretum is dog friendly.
