JOB DESCRIPTION:
Visitor Center Hosts greet and orient visitors to Big Bend National Park and the Rio Grande Wild & Scenic River. Hosts make sure visitors have a safe, enjoyable visit and know park rules and regulations. Hosts will operate a fee register, collect entrance fees and sell park passes, and operate a second register selling merchandise for the Big Bend Natural History Association. Hosts will work 32 hours per week. Couple are preferred but not necessary. Typically volunteers work three days and are off three days. There is one day for exploring the park each week. Housing is not available, but a RV site with full hook-ups (water, sewer, and electric) is provided.
