Your Lakeside Adventure Awaits!
Escape the everyday and embrace the tranquility of Devils Fork State Park as a Volunteer Camp Host! Wake up to the serene views of Lake Jocassee with a spectacular Blue Ridge Mountain backdrop, and go to sleep under a bed of constellations. Spot bald eagles, otters, armadillos, and other wildlife, explore magnificent waterfalls, peep the rare Oconee Bell flower, catch trout and smallmouth bass, and become a vital part of our park community.

Current openings: April to September of 2027, December of 2027, all of 2028
*A minimum 1-month commitment is required, with 2+ months preferred, 6 month maximum*
Hosts typically work ~30 hours per week, 5 days a week (weekends are our busiest!)
Duties:
– Welcoming campers
– Light campsite maintenance (leaf blowing, cleaning firepits, trash pickup)
– Bathhouse cleaning
– Occasional Fee Booth and Office assistance
– Other duties as assigned
