Housekeeping and General Store

Do you love fishing, hiking, riding ATVs and living in a beautiful mountain setting? Then this job is for you. Lake John Resort is looking for a workamping single or a couple for the 2027 season. (May through October) We are an RV and cabin resort on the shore of Lake John, 17 miles west of Walden, CO at  8200’ in a beautiful valley that backs up to the Mount Zirkel wilderness. The lake is your front yard with an amazing panoramic view of the mountains and premier trout fishing. There are many rivers and lakes to fish in the area along with antelope, deer, elk and moose to watch and enjoy. There are lots of hiking and ATV trails. We are about an hour east of Steamboat Springs and 3 hours west of Ft. Collins and Denver. We are 1.5 hours south of Laramie, WY.

Workamping duties will be primarily housekeeping of 5 cabins and one RV. You may also be working in the general store, answering the phone, making reservations and checking guests in. Experience with housekeeping, Campgroundmaster and customer service is a huge plus. Your weekly schedule will be an average of 20 hours per week per person, depending on occupancy. Your hourly rate of $15.50-$18.50/hour will be determined based on your experience. You will be paid monthly for all hours worked. You pay monthly for your FHU site, with WIFI & electricity included. Other benefits include discounts on propane and boat rentals.
