Job Description
I am a matriarch household running an 8-cabin log cabin fishing resort in the north woods of Minnesota on beautiful Lake of the Woods. My kiddos and I are looking for help with general maintenance of cabins, grounds, rental boats, sceptic systems, as well as cabin cleaning, resort laundry, organization and guest interactions for pumping gas, helping with bait and rental boats. The work is varied and something new is always cropping up. I also have several big projects in the works (jacking up a cabin and pouring new footings, building stub wall, etc.) and well as artistic, fun projects planned. There is a campground in the making as well.
It’d be wonderful to find someone/s with a broad knowledge base, someone who values family and small-town values but in a progressive and inclusive manner. Ideally, you’d be someone who becomes like part of the family. This resort attracts THE BEST people and guests have been coming back for decades. There’s a true “camp” feeling for most of the summer. We host Thursday night potluck fish fries and treat our guests like family, even while it is casual and easy. There’s a lot of work opportunity but also plenty of time to enjoy the area, fishing, nature and more.
I will pay well for the right fit.
