Sportsman’s Campground is a friendly, seasonal RV community near Lake Elysian in Janesville, Minnesota (20 minutes from Mankato). Many of our campers return year after year, creating a relaxed, welcoming environment centered around family, nature, and community.
We’re seeking a dependable, personable campground host (individual or couple) to serve as the on-site presence for the 2026 season.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys community living, helping people, and being outdoors.
About the Role:
The campground host serves as the friendly, reliable day-to-day presence for guests and seasonal campers. You’ll help maintain a welcoming atmosphere, support operations, and represent the campground in a positive, respectful way.
Estimated time commitment: ~15–20 hours per week (flexible)
Responsibilities:
Guest & Community Support
Greet campers and visitors
Serve as primary on-site point of contact
Help create a friendly, welcoming environment
Communicate issues or needs to ownership
Open/close the pool daily
Light groundskeeping and weekly mowing
Clean and maintain bathhouse facilities
Monitor overall campground appearance
Assist with small office/store tasks
Help enforce campground rules respectfully
Pump camper tanks using honey wagon (training provided)
Help host occasional campground gatherings or events
Preferred Qualities:
Friendly and approachable personality
Dependable and self-directed
Comfortable interacting with people regularly
Basic maintenance or outdoor work experience helpful
Hospitality or campground experience a plus (not required)
