Job Description

What will be your daily pursuit?

Your daily pursuit is welcoming and assisting our guests with any needs as they check in to enjoy their stay at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins.

What will you do in this job?

  • Be an ambassador for the RV Park and Cabins- make rounds of RV sites and cabins providing information, site policies, and general guest service.
  • Ensure that your camp site is approachable and inviting to guests.
  • Assist with guest departure and arrival site inspections.
  • Assist grounds team with trash and recycling takeout- completed daily.
  • Assist with firewood, ice, and propane deliveries/service to guest sites; make sure supply is stocked as needed at RV office.
  • Work with Grounds Manager on upkeep of Tot Lot and Dog Park.
  • Inspect bathhouses and laundry room frequently for cleanliness- work with Housekeeping and Front Desk teams.
  • Assist with resolving guest concerns tactfully and in a timely manner.
  • Drive the property nightly guests are following RV Park & Cabins rules and regulations/ quiet hours.
  • Ensure non-guests are not using facilities- bathhouses, overflow parking spaces, etc.
  • Enforces proper food storage for bear safety.
  • Communicates on a frequent basis with General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Offers assistance to guests and teammates where needed.
  • Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties.

 

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Previous camp host experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with management
  • Previous experience with public speaking preferred
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic, and courteous in interactions with guests and coworkers
  • Work-ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key.
  • Be willing and able to work solo or as part of a team
  • Be committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards
  • Be organized with a great eye for detail
  • Be kind to others and always bring your best
  • Be a good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions
