Goblin Valley State Park (Utah State Parks)
Volunteer
Job Description
Would you like to live and work in one of the most unique landscapes on earth? Goblin Valley State Park is hiring camp hosts for the 2023 season! We are recruiting for the months of April through October, with exact dates being flexible. We are located approximately 50 miles south of Green River, Utah, close to a number of incredible recreational destinations including Capitol Reef National Park and the San Rafael Swell.
Work weeks will range from 20-30 hours, and consist of campground cleaning and patrols, minor maintenance tasks, and occasionally traffic control during peak season weekends. Other staff will be on hand to assist with these duties, so you won’t be by yourself! Additional visitor center and visitor contact duties may be added depending on interest.
We offer a full hookup site with wifi at the ranger residence, meaning you will be somewhat removed from the campground itself. Camphost positions are authorized to receive a $100 stipend per week in addition to free lodging. Solo applicants are welcome, and we may be able to provide housing if you lack your own.
If you have any questions about this position, feel free to call us at 435-275-4584, or email the park manager at jameswells@utah.gov.
