The Carpenter Supervisor is responsible for planning and implementation of carpentry and structural projects at all GTLC properties. Supervise the activities of the carpentry crew and coordinate their efforts with other Department to achieve GTLC and Vail Resorts goals.

Job responsibilities include for are not limited to:
- Organize and plan carpentry and structural projects on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule.
- Supervision of seasonal carpenter crew, including scheduling and monitoring of work.
- Track and report hours worked by work order or project and report as required to the Structures & Grounds Manager.
- Functional areas of responsibility include, but are not limited, to: all areas of woodworking & carpentry; concrete forming, pouring, and finishing; tile installation; drywall hanging & repair; window & door installation & repair; insulation installation & repair; maintenance & repair of furniture & fixtures; cabinet construction, installation, and repair.
- Ensure that all employees are trained and follow the GTLC Hazard Communication Program
- Complete required training and annual requirements for participation in GTLC Respiratory Protection Program.
- Obtain all appropriate PPE for each employee to ensure maximum protection.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
The “must haves” for this position include:
- Minimum three years of carpentry experience.
- Must have a working knowledge in all phases of painting and finishing.
- Experience in the use of spray-painting equipment.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license
- Must successfully pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- Capable of handling moderately strenuous physical activity
We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required:
- Asbestos certification
- Prior Supervisory experience
Normal working hours are typically between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Our operating season is typically from early May to mid-October.
