Here is a quick summary to describe work as a Tasting Room Associate!
Working at Prairie Berry will provide a Work Camping experience where you will LOVE what you do, but also be able to explore the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota! This position has many responsibilities to it, all of which you would receive the proper training to succeed in your role! From providing exceptional guest experience by serving wine samples to helping with important behind the scene tasks like dishwashing and stocking cases of wine! This position DOES require long periods of standing and physical demands, like lifting 35 pounds consistently throughout your shift. Like any other position, ours has cleaning requirements which would include, mopping, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and any other cleaning or sanitation duties currently implemented! Learning our Point of Sale system is key to completing your everyday tasks! A successful candidate would be willing to learn, be a team player, have a positive attitude, and have the ability to adapt and work hard during their time with us! Is that you?
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Working weekends and evenings
- Providing the first line of information to the customer by greeting, directing, and answering questions regarding our wines, merchandise, history, and facility
- Serving samples of wine, along with appropriate information concerning the wines, to guests in both individual and group settings
- Handling routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash registers
- Assisting guests with food orders at Kitchen Counter
- Ensuring wines are adequately stocked in the Retail Area
- Working as a dishwasher during busy times and/or when labor needs arise which will include such duties as cleaning glasses, bussing indoor and outdoor tables, washing tableware and kitchenware
- Follow current cleaning and sanitizing guidelines
- Performing facility housekeeping, to include Tasting Room, restrooms, patio, and break areas, daily
- Complete all required and assigned training in the timeframe given
- Completing duties from opening and closing checklist
