JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Schedule for this position will be Monday – Tuesday every week and every other Wednesday. The work hours will be from 8 AM – 4:30 PM.

·        The volunteer will be responsible for answering phone calls and receiving messages when required. The volunteer should review and become knowledgeable about lake and park information, rules and regulations and local lake policy to assist in answering questions by the public. 

·        The volunteer will be positioned at the front office reception area to assist walk-in visitors with questions, obtaining maps and brochures and for meeting with other office personnel. The volunteer is expected to be on time every day of their shift. The volunteer will greet each visitor professionally and politely. 

·        The volunteer will be trained to sell USACE and America The Beautiful federal park passes and will need to be well versed in the pass program.

·        There will be other duties assigned as needed.

·        Be prepared to work on projects with other employees. Positive communication required with other volunteers and USACE employees.

·        Be willing to fill in and switch shifts with other admin volunteers.

·        Fill out a Volunteer Daily Work Log and email a copy at the beginning of each month to the Volunteer Coordinator.

Stillhouse Hollow Lake is looking for volunteers who can commit to at least 6 months of volunteer work. We would prefer someone who would like to volunteer for 1-2 years. RV/Trailer pad with water, sewer and electric hookups is provided; volunteer must provide their own RV and transportation. The volunteer will be living at the Belton Lake volunteer village. Commute from the volunteer village to the Stillhouse Hollow Lake office is 20 minutes.
