Volunteer Activities• Other • Visitor Information • General Assistance DescriptionCampground Host/Bolding Mill & Sawnee Campground (Requires a Two Person Team): Dates: March 01, 2020 through September 04, 2020 (A Minimum of 6 Months) Volunteer Duties: Volunteers will be responsible for managing the gate house at Bolding Mill Campground at 4055 Chestatee Road Gainesville, GA 30506 and Sawnee Campground at 3200 Buford Dam Road Cumming, GA 30041. Volunteers will be responsible for assisting campers with initial check in for campsite reservations and maintaining accountability of those present in the campground. Volunteer couple will work on a rotating schedule; working approximately three to four days on and 6 days off. Hours of operation are 7:00 AM to 10:30 PM divided by the volunteer couple on duty. Full background check is required before volunteer couple can move on site at Bolding Mill Campground. There is an official training offered and also on-site training within the gate house with the Campground Ranger in charge of the program. Special Skills: Volunteers must be competent in using computers and it is an added bonus if you are familiar with the NRRS reservation system, this is the system we use to manage campground reservations.
