Job Description
Bell’s Marina & Resort is an RV Park hotel and Marina on a Beautiful world-class bass fishing lake, featuring 35 RV sites, a hotel, and a 19-slip marina.
We are just purchasing this property and transforming a charming but rustic property into a classy resort. We are looking for workampers to do a work exchange by Oct 1, 2022.
Skills needed: handyman skills, housekeeping, laundry, and office skills. Help with our retail store, landscaping, maintaining bathrooms, and other tasks. Hours: Approximately 20 hours a week exchange plus additional hours to be paid. Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 30lbs. Job requires you to bend, kneel, stoop, and sometimes climb. Other needs include mowing, garden work, trash runs, other grounds work, and some camp hosting! Amazing work environment in a beautiful protected cove on Lake Marion, the largest lake in South Carolina and home to some of the nation’s best bass and catfishing! In fact, national bass shows are filmed here!
We would like to have “family dinners” on Sundays, and our goal is to build a tiny home community here. The marina is quiet and peaceful. We will be building out four glamping spots and would love a couple with vision and creativity. There is also a C-store and gas station, and restaurant on the site. We will be upgrading the store into a country farm-style decor and welcome great ideas and inspiration. If you love lake life and charming small towns, homesteading (especially conscious living!), you won’t ever want to leave.
Help us build out this diamond in the rough Full Hookups available, Wifi, bathhouse, laundry, and community gardening available. Depending on skills and needs, hours range from 20 to 40 hours/week to include work trade and paid hours to be discussed. Kids and/or dogs (non-aggressive breeds) are welcome.
