DESCRIPTION:
Seeking couple to fill Dent Acres Interpretive Volunteer Position from May 1 – Mid September, 2023
We are looking for singles or couples to present educational programs at Dent Acres Campground in beautiful mountainous Idaho! If you like people, enjoy learning/sharing information and are positive, outgoing people, this could be a great opportunity for you. We are looking to a start the candidate around May 1st to just after Labor Day (date is negotiable). The position is new and we are looking for an innovative self starting person/people to take this position and run with it. We are hoping to have nighttime and youth programs. The hours are flexible as this would consist of preparation, informing the visitors and presentation of the program. (Please do not let limitations in availability prevent you from considering this position; we can work with volunteers to fit their availability into our season.)
AMENITIES
We offer a full hook-up campsite (water, sewer, electric service with 50 amp maximum), provide all necessary uniform components, and safety equipment (vest, hard hat, etc.), along with free laundry, a shed for storage, freezer, and fridge that will be shared with the other volunteers. Volunteers provide their own RV or trailer.
DUTIES
· Meet and greet visitors
· Research, develop and present programs.
· Give a minimum of two nighttime programs per week
· Give a minimum of two youth programs per week
· Promote and invite visitors to programs.
· Other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must genuinely like all kinds of people
· Must be friendly and outgoing
· Must be interested in learning about the dam, the history of the area, points of interest, etc.
· Must be comfortable speaking to groups of people
· Most important!! Must want to have a great summer!!

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Dent Acres Campground is located approx. 40 min. from Orofino, ID. It is a 50-site campground with a boat ramp, showers, and a playground. This position is new and the person selected will need to be a self-starter, motivated and independent.
