Job Summary
The Retail and Activities Manager reports to the year round retail management team and is responsible to supervise and assist all clerks at Colter Bay Village Marina in selling tickets for transportation and activities. The retail store manager additionally is expected to perform record keeping tasks, and assist with all retail operations including but not limited to: stocking, merchandising and any other retail duties as assigned. The Retail Manager is additionally responsible for management of store employees including: scheduling, communication of company and area events, performance improvement, and training. This individual will ensure employees observe their job duties and will provide a fun, motivated, and customer focused environment. This position works with various activity department heads coordinating scheduled activities, special events and posts changes for the special events.

The “must haves” for this position include
- Prior supervisory experience in a customer focused environment or comparative experience
- Ability to communicate, motivate, and direct store employees
- Experience with point of sale
- Flexible availability during the operating season
- Knowledge of windows based programs including Excel, Word, etc.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong computer skills
- Great people skills
- Valid US driver’s license/Successful completion MVR
- Capable of handling moderately strenuous activity
- Must have good organizational skills and possess initiative
We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required
- Prior retail management experience
- Knowledge of retail cash handling and end of day processes
- Experience in a resort/lodging environment or employment with a national park service concessionaire
- Knowledge of Grand Teton National Park and the surrounding area
- Be genuinely concerned about the environment and recycling
- Have good communication/people skills

This is a summer position. Our season typically runs from May through early October. Candidates must be available to work until the end of the season.
