DESCRIPTION:
Seeking hard-working volunteer who enjoys being outdoors from May – September at Lake Shelbyville.
This volunteer position involves hard manual labor in the heat of the summer. Volunteer will be responsible for maintaining a tidy campground by mowing, trimming, and litter pick up. All equipment, fuel, supplies, PPE, and training will be provided. Zero-turn radius mower operation experience is not required but would be beneficial. The volunteer position duties are the responsibility of one volunteer or one volunteer couple. Hard-working, dependable, & self-driven are all qualities we look for in our Lake Shelbyville Volunteer Team members.
o Mowing the campground
o Trimming around campsites, signs, parking blocks, & comfort stations
o Picking up litter as needed
o Cleaning off sidewalks and roads as needed
o Changing mower blades (if able)
o Checking oil in mower and adding as needed
· Zero-turn radius mower operation experience is not required but would be beneficial.
