DESCRIPTION:
Seeking two (2) hard-working volunteers who enjoy being outdoors from April – October at Lake Shelbyville.
This volunteer position involves hard manual labor in the heat of the summer. Volunteer will be responsible for maintaining a tidy campground by mowing, trimming, and litter pick up. All equipment, fuel, supplies, PPE, and training will be provided. Zero-turn radius mower operation experience is not required, but would be beneficial. This volunteer position duties is spread amongst three (3) volunteers. Must work well with others and be easy to get along with. Hard-working, dependable, & self-driven are all qualities we look for in our Lake Shelbyville Volunteer Team members.
o Mowing the campground
o Trimming around campsites, signs, parking blocks, & comfort stations
o Picking up litter as needed
o Cleaning off sidewalks and roads as needed
o Changing mower blades (if able)
o Checking oil in mower and adding as needed
· Zero-turn radius mower operation experience is not required but would be beneficial.
