Volunteer Activities• Campground Host Photo Courtesy of FS DescriptionE.V. Long Campground is a great little campground in Gallinas Canyon. It is semi-primitive and in need of a great host or host couple for summer 2020! Campground host duties include greeting and providing information to visitors/campers, cleaning restrooms and fire rings, making rounds through the campground in the morning and evening, cleaning up trash, and representing the Forest Service as stellar volunteers! E.V. Long includes: 3 vaulted toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and a total of 14 camping units, It’s a beautiful little campground in the mountains!! The host RV site is suitable for campers up to 30 ft. long. Amenities include electric, propane, sewer at the host site and water spigot in the campground. A portable water tank will also be provided. The host site now has a landline! This campground is approximately 40 minutes up the canyon from Las Vegas, New Mexico. Host reimbursement for allowed expenses is $50/week, with Mondays and Tuesdays designated as days off. Cell service is not available. Dates are flexible. HOUSING & AMENITIESType: Trailer/RV Pads
