Seeking to fill 2 Volunteer Campground Host positions for our campgrounds in the Buckhorn Recreation Area and the Orland Buttes Recreation Area at Black Butte Lake, Orland, Ca.
We are looking for dependable and enthusiastic Volunteers. Black Butte Dam and Lake is situated at the northern end of the Sacramento Valley, located approximately 100 miles north of Sacramento and approximately 60 miles south of Redding, off Interstate 5. This quiet park is a US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) project, surrounded by beautiful, dark volcanic buttes, and is well-known for fishing, hiking, sailing, water skiing, and camping.
Duties as a Volunteer include Camp Hosting, cleaning firepits, picking up litter, painting, weed eating, and reporting damage. Other duties may be assigned based on volunteer’s interests and skills. Volunteers are expected to work at least 20 hours per week, on weekends, and holidays. A campsite with full hookups is provided in lieu of payment for work. A federal background check is required.
o Reside on site and work 20+ volunteer hours weekly
o Must own and maintain a recreational vehicle and valid driver’s license
o Pass background check
o Selling America the Beautiful and USACE Passes
o Working well with staff
o Able to follow instructions and perform weekly tasks
o Previous camp host experience
