Job Description
We are seeking a Assistant Cook for a Christian retreat center. Position is seasonal (part-time in May; full-time June-August). The assistant cook supports the efficient delivery of quality meals in both buffet and cafeteria serving styles. Assistant cook will work under the direction of kitchen manager or lead cook. Serv-Safe certification desired but not required. Must maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Our retreat center serves groups from 15-250+.
Requirements:
Must have the ability to work standing for 8-12 hours a day.
Must be able to lift 40+ pounds.

Job Description:
Assist in preparation and service of daily menus. Ensure the operation/establishment is kept clean and sanitized, ensuring all State and County requirements are met. Assist with inventory and food supply orders. Coordinate with support staff in the food preparation and production, enforcing State and County codes/policies. Utilize proper food handler practices.
