Job Description
Langlade County is seeking candidates for a volunteer Campground Host for both our Jack Lake and Perch Lake Campgrounds within the Forestry and Recreation
Department. The Host provides hospitality and information to other campers and park visitors and supplements staff coverage and maintenance of the Campground, in
exchange for a free campsite, firewood and amenities during their stay. Preferred term of service shall run a minimum of 4 weeks (minimum 3 hours a day, 5 days a week),
longer terms and work hours may be considered as necessary. Hours of work will include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possession of a driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Experience performing facility cleaning and grounds maintenance work desirable.
• Ability to keep daily work logs.
• Hosts are to be neat in appearance when working with visitors.
• Hosts should be in good physical condition and able to walk the campground several times a day.
• Hosts should have good communication skills to relay information and ability to aid visitors.
• Ability to contribute to a positive work culture that fosters excellent customer service and teamwork.
