Job Description
Cotillion Gardens RV Park is “secretly” nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains in central California. It is under the cannopy of hundreds of evergreen big trees adjacent to the old-growth redwood forest in the Santa Cruz Mountains, known as Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. A creek, which feeds into the San Lorenzo River, also runs through the park. Besides neighboring the Henry Cowell State Park, we are also within 10 miles of the Santa Cruz beach, and a few miles from nearby metro cities.
Position Description: We seek experienced workamper couples (no singles) to join our camp host team. Must be hard working, self-starters, team players, and friendly. The camp host couple will work together on the same schedule. One work camper will work in the office, duties including answering phone, taking reservations, checking in campers, selling goods in store, cleaning (office/store, bathhouses, clubhouse, and cabins). The other work camper will work in the park, duties include turning over RV sites, cleaning (bathhouses, clubhouse, and cabins), leaf blowing, keeping the roads clean, trash pick-up, wood deliveries, pool maintenance/cleaning, general park maintenance/repairs, quiet hour walk-through, and other duties as assigned.
Benefits: We offer a salary, starting at $3,400/couple/month (or $1,700/person/month), for a 5 days per week and 7hrs per day schedule. Salary includes a free full hookup site (a $1,400/month value) that can fit up to a 40′ rig (50-amp pedestal). Paycheck is deposited semi-monthly.
Schedule 1: Your workday is from Sunday to Thursday. Daily hours are from 9:00am to 6:00pm (with a 2hrs break) on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, and from 12pm to 9pm (with a 2hrs break) on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This couple is off on Fridays and Saturdays. Quiet hour walk-through after 10pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Schedule 2: Your workday is from Wednesday to Sunday. Daily hours are from 9:00am to 6:00pm (with a 2hrs break) on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 12pm to 9pm (with a 2hrs break) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This couple is off on Mondays and Tuesdays. Quiet hour walk-through after 10pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Schedule 3: Your workday is from Friday to Tuesday. Daily hours are from 9:00am to 6:00pm (with a 2hrs break) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and from 12pm to 9pm (with a 2hrs break) on Mondays and Tuesdays. This couple is off on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Quiet hour walk-through after 10pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Summer Season Time: The starting date is usually May 1st (but no later than June 1st), and the end date is after Labor Day.
